Why Mirror Booths Cost More Than Basic Open-Air Booths
Our Signature Mirror Booth costs more than a typical open-air booth because of our state-of-the-art equipment, a 6-foot tall mirror with built-in 65-inch touchscreen, DSLR camera (Canon EOS Rebel T8i), professional grade lighting, and instant printing.
What to Ask Any Photo Booth Company
Is the attendant included? Does setup count against my hours? Are there travel or delivery fees? Are prints unlimited?
Quotes that look $100 apart are often different packages.
Venue Requirements
A mirror booth needs a minimum 8' × 8' but we recommend 10’ x 10’ of flat floor space, an electricity outlet, and elevator, ramp, or no more than a few steps. Please check this with your venue before booking.
Venue and Timing Tips
A timing lesson: Most guests use the booth in two waves: right after the ceremony and during dinner breaks. Start your booth hours before cocktail hour ends, not after dinner begins.
A logistics lesson: A few venues have had no elevator, and a couple of steps was manageable. Flights of stairs are not, so ask your venue about load-in before booking.

Mirror Booth vs. Standard Photo Booth: Which Is Right for Your Event?
Not sure whether to book our interactive mirror photo booth or a standard open-air setup? Compare footprint requirements, guest experience, aesthetics, and venue logistics to find the ideal fit for your event.
Choosing between our mirror photo booth and a standard photo booth comes down to two primary factors: event formality and guest interaction style.
Our mirror photo booth is an interactive, full-length touchscreen mirror designed as a luxury entertainment centerpiece, best suited for formal weddings, black-tie galas, and upscale milestone celebrations. A standard photo booth (typically an open-air kiosk paired with a backdrop) focuses on quick throughput, compact setup flexibility, and high-volume group photos, making it ideal for high-energy parties, outdoor receptions, and casual corporate mixers.
Quick Comparison: Our Mirror Booth vs. Standard Photo Booth

Standard Photo Booth: Sleek standalone pedestal kiosk paired with a clean tension-fabric or custom backdrop.
Capture Framing
Mirror Photo Booth: Head-to-toe full-length portraits showing complete outfits and evening wear.
Standard Photo Booth: Waist-up framing optimized for wide group shots and branded step-and-repeats.

Standard Photo Booth: Streamlined tap-to-start screen with an automated 3-2-1 photo countdown.

Standard Photo Booth: Recommended 8' × 8' area (can squeeze into compact 6' × 6' corners if space is tight).
Ideal Venue & Event Style
Mirror Photo Booth: Indoor hotel ballrooms, historic estates, luxury galas, and formal wedding receptions.
Standard Photo Booth: Backyard parties, rooftop lounges, corporate trade shows, and high-traffic celebrations.
Deliverables & Features
Mirror Photo Booth: Instant high-gloss 4×6 or 2×6 photo strips, SMS/email digital delivery, and an online gallery.

What Is a Mirror Photo Booth?
Our mirror photo booth combines a full-length reflective mirror with embedded commercial studio photography hardware and a responsive touch interface.
When guests walk up, the glass comes alive with colorful animations directing them to strike a pose. Behind the two-way glass sits a professional DSLR camera and studio-grade strobe lighting. After posing, guests interact directly with the mirror surface to sign their names, add digital emojis, and trigger instant lab-quality prints or mobile deliveries via SMS and email.
Framed with options like vintage ornate gold or modern LED casing and paired with red carpet runners and velvet ropes, it acts as functional event decor.
What Is a Standard Photo Booth?
A standard photo booth typically refers to a modern open-air kiosk. It consists of a freestanding camera tower or sleek pedestal paired with an independent backdrop stand.
Guests stand 4 to 6 feet in front of the backdrop while the kiosk camera captures the shot. Standard open-air booths are fast, highly reliable, and accommodate large groups of 8 to 15+ guests in a single wide-angle frame.
Key Decision Factors: How to Choose
1. Formality and Visual Aesthetic
Choose our Mirror Booth if: Your venue has an elevated dress code (black-tie, cocktail, evening formal). Because guests spend time dressing up, they appreciate a full-length mirror that captures whole outfits rather than just waist-up headshots. It blends naturally into luxury ballrooms, historic estates, and gala foyers.
Choose the Standard Booth if: You want a casual, high-volume photo hub. An open-air kiosk fits clean modern themes, brand activations with branded step-and-repeat backdrops, and outdoor party tents.
2. Space and Venue Logistics
Mirror Booth Footprint: Requires a flat, solid indoor surface and approximately 10' × 10' of floor space to accommodate the mirror, stanchions, backdrop, and guest queue. Access requires an elevator or ramp (it cannot easily navigate narrow staircases).
Standard Booth Footprint: Highly modular. It can squeeze into a 6' × 6' corner if needed and travels easily into tighter urban venues, rooftop patios, and private residences.
3. Flow and Guest Volume
Mirror Booth Experience: Highly engaging and conversational. Because guests interact with animations and sign their photos on glass, each session takes slightly longer (roughly 60 seconds per group).
Standard Booth Flow: Fast and direct. Groups walk in, snap three photos in 30 seconds, grab prints, and head back to the dance floor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a mirror photo booth need a backdrop?
While a backdrop (such as hedge walls, shimmer walls, or tension fabric) adds polish, a mirror booth can also use your venue’s architecture—such as an exposed brick wall, ballroom drapery, or scenic view—as its organic background.
Can a mirror photo booth be used outdoors?
Mirror booths require a fully level, solid surface, and zero direct glare on the glass surface. For outdoor garden or patio events, lower light events work best.
Which photo booth is better for large group photos?
Standard open-air booths are better for massive group shots (10+ people) because the camera lens can easily be adjusted wider. Mirror booths comfortably capture 4 to 6 people while keeping full-length outfits in frame.
The Verdict
Book our Mirror Booth if you want a statement-piece attraction that adds an interactive red-carpet feel and captures full-length evening wear.
Book the Standard Booth if your priority is high throughput, big group photos, or setting up in spaces with tighter physical footprints.
